Citizens media party tonight!

Here are the details about tonight's bash:

What: A citizens media social gathering and book release party for Darknet.

When: 6-9 pm

Where: Varnish Fine Art Gallery, 77 Natoma St. (between 1st and 2nd streets and Mission and Howard) in SF's SOMA. Check out their website.

Admission: free.

A wide range of free appetizers. Cash bar for wine or beer.

Accordingly, no one under 21 (including young children) will be admitted, under state law (alas).

Theme: The remix revolution. We'll be playing only mash-ups, remixes, cover tunes and songs released under a Creative Commons license.

Bring: Your smart phone, digital camera or camcorder (all optional, of course)

Sponsors: The citizens media weekend is being underwritten by Topix.net and Knight Ridder Digital (thanks!)

Who's invited: You are. We're expecting about 100 people to celebrate citizens media and grassroots culture. Swing on by!
