TiVo president resigns
San Jose Mercury News: TiVo Loses Its Second Senior Exec. The resignation of TiVo president Marty Yudkovitz comes as the DVR pioneer faces mounting competition from cable and satellite TV companies. TiVo says it has no plans to replace him.
This is a bummer. I go way back with Marty -- we went to college together at Rutgers, and hooked up on my book Darknet when he was still president of NBC Internet. TiVo's losing a smart guy who knew how to plug into the entertainment biz.
